The Fall of the House
April 12-May 6, 2012
in the Studio Theatre at Walton Arts Center's Nadine Baum Studios
by Robert Ford
directed by Kevin Christopher Fox
Nominated for the 2011 Edgar Award - Best New Play
Why does an escaped slave risk her freedom for an illegal rendezvous with Edgar Allan Poe? Why is a celebrated architect on trial for a fatal beach house fire... and what does it mean that she possesses an undiscovered manuscript of the last poem Poe ever wrote? In this haunting dreamscape of a play, spanning two centuries, T2 Artistic Director Robert Ford (‘Twas the Night, My Father’s War) explores the desperate bargains we make for love.
