THE PLAYS

Boeing-Boeing

September 1-25, 2011
CLOSED—NO LONGER AVAILABLE

Marc Camoletti's 1960s "non-stop comedy" stars Bernard, a successful architect living in Paris, who thinks he can easily juggle his three flight-attendant fiancées. It’s all a question of timing and a little help from his trusted housekeeper, who reluctantly plays romantic air traffic controller. When a new jet engine shortens international travel times, all three scheduled “layovers” collide—and Bernard’s cleverly managed flights of fancy are in for a rougher ride.

It's a Wonderful Life

December 8, 2011-January 1, 2012
CLOSED—NO LONGER AVAILABLE

After a life of sacrifices for the common good, George Bailey stands alone, drunk and despondent, staring into the swirling waters off a highway bridge on Christmas Eve. Suddenly, a mysterious stranger plummets to the waves nearby, and George dives in to rescue him—emerging in an altered world. Named the most inspirational film ever made by the American Film Institute, Frank Capra's stirring holiday classic has brought audiences together for generations.

TheatreSquared is proud to introduce a World Premiere stage adaptation.

Tigers Be Still

February 9-March 4, 2012

"This is the story of how I stopped being a total disaster," announces the heroine of Tigers Be Still. Sherry Wickman, a young woman who expects the perfect life to fall into place after earning a degree, instead finds herself underemployed, overwhelmed and back home in her twin-sized childhood bed.  Her mother won’t emerge from the bedroom, her drunken sister’s taken up residence on the couch, her boss won’t leave his gun at home and a tiger’s escaped from the zoo. Critically acclaimed in its 2010 New York premiere, Tigers Be Still is a quirky, endearing and deliciously dark new comedy.

"Piercing, ferocious, and devastatingly hilarious." - The New York Times.

The Fall of the House

April 12-May 6, 2012

A Mystery

Why does an escaped slave risk her freedom for an illegal rendezvous with Edgar Allan Poe? Why is a celebrated architect on trial for a fatal beach house fire... and what does it mean that she possesses an undiscovered manuscript of the last poem Poe ever wrote? In this haunting dreamscape of a play, spanning two centuries, T2 Artistic Director Robert Ford (‘Twas the Night, My Father’s War) explores the desperate bargains we make for love.
